Invisible Enemy

Poem
Lines were drawn by money, faith and land,
built a wall of differences, hand in hand.
Yet a stranger arrived at an unprepared world—
an unseen, unheard foe none had contrived.
A virus came; no border could restrain it,
nor king nor queen—colour did not matter for it.
Bypassing status or creed, it moved through
the world with unspoken speed; none could halt it.
When the world discriminates,
the virus mutates.
We boasted of science, knowledge and might,
yet learned in darkness not all lies in sight.
What we do not know is a vast endless sea,
reminding humanity of shared frailty.
